Training Practice

Medical Students

The practice takes part in undergraduate teaching of trainee doctors and medical students. Sometimes patients may be asked if they are willing to participate in teaching sessions. This provides invaluable experience to the trainees and medical students. We greatly appreciate the patients’ co-operation in these teaching sessions. However, patients are under no obligation to participate.

If a trainee doctor or medical student is sitting in with a doctor, you will be informed before going in the consulting room and you can request to be seen without the trainee or student being present. If, on some occasions, medical students interview patients without the doctor being present, they will always refer back to the supervising doctor.
